What is the "Notification" module for and how to use it

Reach your members instantly, right in their pockets.

The Notification module is your direct line to your community. It allows you to send "Push Notifications"—instant alerts that appear on your users' phone screens—to ensure important news, schedule changes, or updates are never missed.

📝 Crafting Your Message

To keep alerts clear and readable on lock screens, notifications are divided into two parts:

  • Title: A punchy headline (max 30 characters).
  • Subtitle: The core details of your message (max 120 characters).

🎯 Targeted Delivery

You have total control over who sees your message:

  • Broadcast: Send an alert to every single user of your miniapp.
  • Segmented: Select specific users for personalized updates (perfect for individual reminders or specific team leads).

🔗 Smart Redirection (Deep Linking)

Don't just send a message—drive action. When creating a notification, you can choose a specific tab or module (like the Forum, Calendar, or News Wall). When the user taps the notification, the app will automatically open that exact screen.

Note: Certain notifications can be configured to send automatically, including:

  • News Wall Posts: These are triggered whenever new content is published. Refer to the News Wall Tutorial for more information on how to enable this.
  • Match Updates: In the Competitions module, notifications for match results and schedule changes are automatically generated for both players and followers.

👍 Use Cases Examples

  • Send a message to all participants of an event in case of a urgent change in the schedule.
  • Send a message to users that will link to an interactive module in the app such as a survey
  • Send a message to users that will have a better reach that emails that are often unread or lost in junk email boxes
