App Configuration - Modules

Modules are the building blocks of your app. They define the features that will be available to your community, such as news, events, directories, or discussions.

Select Modules in the left-hand menu.

Add a Module

You can add one or several modules to your app.

Step 1: Click + Add New.

Step 2: Select the modules you want to add.

Step 3: Choose how many instances of each module you want.

Some modules can be added multiple times. For example, you may want several Directories or multiple Knowledge Bases for different types of resources.

Step 4: Click Add.

The new modules will appear in the modules list.

Manage Module Position & Visibility

You can control the order in which modules appear in your app and their visibility.

Position: Click and hold the six-dot icon on the left of a module, then drag and drop it to change its position in the list. The order in this list defines the navigation order in the app from left to right.

Visibility: You can decide whether a module is visible to users. Each module has an eye icon on the right side of the list.

  • Visible eye → the module appears in the app
  • Hidden eye → the module is hidden from users

👉 After making your changes, click Save Changes.

💡 Tip: Modules are hidden by default when created. Make sure at least one module is visible, otherwise the app cannot open.

Configure Your Modules

Once created, modules appear in the left-hand menu below the Modules section.

From there you can configure and customize each module.

See the following tutorials to learn how to configure each module.
